A simple couples routine for Lent: read, reflect in your own words, and share what you noticed.
Choose a repeatable intention.
For your Lenten practice, set aside a short moment for Scripture before your feeds. Agree on a routine that fits both of your days. You can use a Bible and a shared question, or use DuoFaith to help create the daily pause.
Let the question open a conversation.
Read the passage, sit with the reflection, and answer honestly. In DuoFaith Couples Mode, each answer stays hidden from the other person until they have written their own. Once both have answered, read each other’s reflections and choose something to talk or pray about.
Use individual locks and a shared streak.
Your selected apps unlock when you finish your own devotional. Couples Mode adds a shared reflection: each of you writes an answer to the same question, and your partner’s answer stays hidden until you submit yours. Once you have both answered, both reflections are available. Days when both of you answer build a shared streak.
Keep the practice simple.
DuoFaith provides daily devotionals and app locking for one person, with shared reflections as an optional Couples Mode on top. The routine here works the same way if only one of you keeps it. This suggested routine uses those existing features; it is not a separate Lent-specific reading plan in the app. You choose how long to keep the practice and how to make it part of your time together.
App access.
DuoFaith starts with a 3-day free trial. After that it is $10 a month or $50 a year, and one subscription covers everything, Couples Mode included. There is no free tier, so cancel inside the 3 days if you decide it is not for you.
